This is either what's wrong with the US, or pure brilliance
Today's been pretty good. Got up before noon for once, headed up to Chris Olivia's place to take a look at the monitors he's got sitting around for his DDR. The replacements he'd tried wouldn't sync, so while conferring with Brandon Martin, we determined that something in the power supply area of his original monitor. After further discussion (and about an hour on the phone with Brandon!), Chris is going to call a local TV repair shop to see about getting it to work. He's also going to see about getting one of the nice tri-mode monitors this week.
After leaving there, I headed up to Addison and hit up a Culvers. Talked with Kristen and a couple other people while I was eating, then headed over to Dave and Busters to rock Super Shot like a Hurricane. A few hours later, I decided to head home.
While the 355 south to 55 south to 80 west to Minooka trip is normally pretty uneventful, something odd happened as I was nearing the exit for IL-126.
I'm cruising along in the right lane going about seventy, and decide I don't want to be behind the old person going 55 that I'm quickly coming up on. I thought I heard a Semi or at least a tow truck behind me and at least a lane over, so I make sure to take an extra long look into my blind spot to make sure I'm not going to get creamed.
Turned out it wasn't anything I'd ever seen before. Oh yeah, it was two lanes over and going REALLY FUCKING FAST. I immediately proclaimed, "What the fuck is that?" and started to tail it. Oh yes, I took some pictures too.
Can you spot it?

Yes, that's probably what you think that is. A fucking pickup truck body mounted on what looks like a god damned Tow Truck Frame. Oh, and it's going about 85 in that picture.
I did manage to catch up to it and get more photos of the sheer retardery of the thing, take a look.
I managed to get a view out of my windshield as I caught up to it:
I can't tell what kind of fucking frame that uses, but when you pull down the rear hatch, it's gotta be five feet off the ground. Maybe more.
This one should give you some good perspective on it. The truck is in the lane next to me.
Do you have to use a ladder to get into this thing?
It changed over to the right lane, so I snuck another picture:
This person is obviously the King of the World, and we should give him all our money. He needs it to buy gas for his vehicle.
By this point, I was getting close to Interstate 80 and figured I'd better break off pursuit. I did sneak one last picture, but I've got a few questions to ask before we get to it.

How do you put this in a garage?
Why?
Can you even get anything into the bed?
Why?
Does this fit in most drive-thru lanes?
Why?

At that, I say to it, "Good night sweet prince. While I'll never know your purpose for existence, may you guzzle gas into the sunset, and not shear your roof off at the next low bridge."
